Think of it this way: it is like a weight room/functional training space that doesn't hammer down on your joints. In one HIT® Workshop you will learn how to utilize the power of water and enhance any fitness/training program, and I mean any! I have worked with football players, cyclists, runners, triathletes, hockey, basketball, snowmobile racers, horseback riders, you name it; so many people over the years who love land sports, but hate joint pain.
So, why not learn how to train your body in more than just on land. By using water, I feel you can continue any sport throughout your life. HIT® training is a combination of my experience as an athlete, a personal trainer, a group fitness instructor as well as a coach from almost 30 years of experience.
For the workshop, plan on a day of both water and land based, non-choreographed training. Anyone who knows me knows that choreographed workouts are not my thing. I am a coach through 'n through. So, this workshop is truly the nuts and bolts to working in the deep water without any glitter and glam.
I've been asked IF the workshop is ONLY for personal trainers or group fitness instructors: it is not. The workshop has been developed for anyone. However, if you plan on teaching HIT®, it is best that you are certified through an accredited body (ACE, ACSM, AEA, NETA, NASM, to name just a few).
Workshop participants will receive:
6.5 hours of practical and theoretical instruction
Book co-written by creator of The HIT Method: Deep End of the Pool Workouts (Ulysses Press, 2017)
Two pool group practice sessions* as well as land training & demonstrations
.6 ACE CECs (and receive a certificate of completion)
...Plenty of Q & A time!
Note: Participants must sign up at least one month prior to the workshop posted date as registration is mandatory. Workshop may be canceled if minimum registration is not met.
*Bring two sets of swim gear as well as clothes for land-based practice. Lunch/beverages will not be provided.
Refund: The HIT Method® has a no refund policy. If you are unable to attend a training, we will be happy to issue you an in-house credit for the course. The credit is good for one year however the request for a credit must be made in writing within 30 days of the originally scheduled class.
Cancellation: In the event that The HIT Method® cancels or reschedules any scheduled training program, full refunds will be issued upon request. The HIT Method® is not liable for any participant fees or changes that may be associated with the cancellation of a training class including, but not limited to, travel expenses or exam fees.
