Founder Melis Edwards has been a trainer and a coach since 1988; coaching everything from short distance running through to ultra distance marathon and triathlon events. She has also been an ultra endurance athlete since the early 90’s; racing 100 mile trail running races and seven ironman distance triathlons. She started teaching and training The HIT Method® to athletes (and for herself) over 20 years ago. It was just over the last few years that decided to bring The HIT Method® fitness platform to the masses by initially writing and publishing her first co-authored book called: Deep End of the Pool Workouts: Non-Impact Interval Training and Strength Exercises (Ulysses Press, 2017).
